Quick answer
To verify a Pet ESA Service letter, send the request below with the client's name, the clinician named on the letter and the letter date. We confirm whether the letter is authentic and the clinician's license is active, with the client's consent. We never disclose a diagnosis or clinical records.
Request verification
What we can confirm
Whether the letter was issued by a clinician in the Pet ESA Service network, the issue date, and that the clinician held an active license in the stated state when it was signed. You can also check the license yourself on the state licensing board's website using the license number printed on the letter.
What we will not share
We do not share a diagnosis, the nature or severity of a disability, session notes or medical records. Many states, including Florida, Hawaii, Iowa and Montana, bar housing providers from requesting this information. Requests that ask for it will be answered with authenticity confirmation only.
How long it takes
Most verification requests are answered within one business day once we have the client's consent. If you need to reach the clinician directly, use the contact details on the letter.
